Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

I am a Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA #4192) with over 15 year’s experience in the mental health and counselling field. I have a Diploma of Professional Counselling from the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training and I also hold both a Bachelor of Science, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria. I have experience with local health authorities, Indigenous communities, government agencies and various not for profit organizations. I offer an inclusive, non-judgemental, safe space that allows you to explore the reason(s) that have brought you to counselling. I identify as Metis and have experience supporting both indigenous and non-indigenous persons. I believe that people have the capacity to grow, develop new skillsets, and move through difficult situations. I believe that you are your most authentic source of knowledge, and it is my hope that we can work together explore meaning, accomplish goals, and find healing. In our work together you can expect to explore what is going on for you presently, as well as what has happened in your past that may be contributing to your experiences today.

I will support you in your journey and tailor counselling sessions based on your situation.

While my counselling lens is blended with different proven modalities, I tend to lean towards a trauma informed, strength-based, and person-centered approach.
