Dr. Susan Tavakol is a seasoned clinical counsellor and psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in both private practice and hospital settings. Her expertise spans a wide spectrum of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, Panic disorder personality disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. Trained in diverse therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, insight-oriented, ACT, and trauma-focused therapy, Dr. Tavakol is known for her compassionate, culturally sensitive approach and her ability to build strong therapeutic alliances. She is a bilingual practitioner (English and Farsi), currently serving clients across Greater Vancouver in-person and virtually. A former assistant professor and award-winning psychiatrist, Dr. Tavakol brings a deep well of clinical knowledge, academic rigor, and human understanding to her practice
