Professional Bio
I am so excited to be serving Campbell River and surrounding area. I was born here and raised in Black Creek, so I understand many of the cultural and socio-economic issues and struggles unique to the area. I have also lived in other countries and travelled a lot, so I empathize with new people to the area because I have lived culture shock. I have been a caregiver and public servant with an emphasis on keeping families together, recovery, equal rights for ALL, and improving the quality of life of clients. I have had the privilege of serving as a Foster Parent for 10+ years, Caregiver for at risk youth with the John Howard Society, Education Assistant, Residential Support Worker, Youth Leader, Business Owner, and Humanitarian. My heart is for those who don't feel like they fit in, the lost or wandering, and those who are unfairly mistreated. My desire is for true self acceptance through wholehearted healing, regardless of background, age or gender.
