Professional Bio
A trauma-trained psychotherapist skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Gottman Method Couple Techniques. Offering short and long-term adult (19+) individual, couple, marriage and workplace (EAP/EFAP) counselling therapy. Specialization in neuro-divergent people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). In addition to therapy, Savina offers psycho-education workshops and staff development training for agencies and community services providers. Learners will deepen their knowledge of how personal experiences affect their ability to work with specific clients and how client-worker relationships are the most critical part of client change. Evidence-based clinical skills will develop through case examples, group work and exploratory exercises. Employees, leaders and managers are encouraged to participate together for a cohesive and uniform experience. Savina's extensive experience spans 30 years and has given her a unique insight into how biological, environmental and family systems can impact positively and negatively a persons self-worth, emotional well-being and mental health. Savina is a former foster parent, school counsellor and social worker. Today, she is a telehealth psychotherapist in private practice serving people throughout the Vancouver Regional District and Central British Columbia.
