Lindsay Heier

As a certified counsellor I bring the world of my experience and professional training into therapy. Being born in Canada I appreciate my heritage, however, my job and mission in life have brought me to work in various locations including Nicaragua, Bahamas, Costa Rica, and United States. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. I then became Dean of Student Life at an American University called Ave Maria (Now Keiser University) in Nicaragua for 7 years and had the opportunity to manage campus counselling and teach various classes as a professor of psychology. Also in 2013, I was given the opportunity to complete my first CPE unit of professional chaplaincy at Greenville Health Systems in South Carolina. Training involved, Trauma and Crisis Counselling, Grief Therapy and Pastoral Care in a medical setting. As a counsellor I have completed level 1 and 2 in Gottman Therapy which focuses on marital counselling. I have a passion for assisting all types of people on their life journey to discover the best version of themselves by finding the courage to make simple life changes.
