Professional Bio
Kim Silverthorn is the owner and primary therapist with Tacit Knowledge. She has more than 30 years of experience, and has worked in a wide range of specialty areas throughout her career. Her current areas of expertise include clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, self harm, eating disorders, and stress. And she also provides specialized support to First Responders, to victims of suicide and homicide and to abused youth and their families. Kim's practice (Tacit Knowledge) offers counselling services from 4 very experienced and qualified therapists, and has offices in Beaumont, Red Deer, Sherwood Park and Edmonton. The Tacit team offers individual (youth and adult) and couples counselling; therapeutic Support Groups (multiple times a year); community Psycho-Educational Workshops; and Professional Development Training opportunities (based on skill development and/or team wellness needs). Tacit offers all of their services online and in-person (as COVID restrictions allow).
