Woven Nest Counselling
Professional Bio
Woven Nest Counselling has a primary focus of supporting children and youth preschool ages and up. Using a variety of expressive play and art modalities to support healing from trauma, to increase coping skills and resilience, to increase a positive sense of self and self worth, to decrease anxiety, and to learn new skills to adapt challenging behaviours into healthy coping strategies.
Parent and caregiver support is also offered, and both individual and joint adult/child sessions are available. Learning and healing through creative expression and play is often a joyful and safe way to process experiences and to integrate new learning. Play is a primary language for children and meeting them in their world in the playroom provides safety, and offers symbolic language that can reach beyond and before words.
