Professional Bio
Karen is a counsellor with a passion for supporting women who have experienced abuse from an intimate partner. (Abuse may be verbal, emotional, financial, social, sexual or physical.) She has particular training in supporting people to recover from trauma - including emotional trauma. She is the co-author of the book "When Love Hurts" and leads support groups in various communities based on the material in this book. She is a sought after speaker and trainer. She is also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in Canada and if clients wish to discuss the spiritual aspects of their lives, she is happy to do that. Over the years, she has supported many people who are suffering from high levels of anxiety or depression and feels she is able to help bring relief to people suffering in these areas.
