Professional Bio
Asking for help can be difficult, but the first step is already taken by you being here. This is a non-judgmental space to explore what matters to you most. You!
As a registered Social Worker and Professional Counsellor, I provide a safe and caring environment where you can have a sense of belonging. We can explore ideas and concerns while having the support needed to navigate through life's challenges.
My name is Kara, and I have always been passionate about helping others. I've worked in the school system for over 13 years. I have provided social work and counselling services to various individuals from youths in pre-school to grade 12, adolescents, and adults in many settings within the community. I have worked with people with disabilities, behaviours and mental health concerns.
I have training in trauma-informed care and use a collaborative and compassionate approach to counselling to foster hope, healing and resilience.
